A former Pioneer Valley police officer is being sentenced for committing an armed robbery.
Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni announced on Thursday the sentencing of Adam
Barlett to three-and-a-half years in jail, minus time served, after he was convicted by a Hampden Superior Court jury.
The former Hadley police officer reportedly entered a Rite Aid in Chicopee in November of 2015 and demanded oxycodone but was given several bottles only containing tracking devices.
Bartlett and his wife, Rebecca, led police on a chase that lasted almost 75 miles through Massachusetts and ended when the vehicle ran out of gas in Framingham, according to the D.A.'s office.
