There's money included for a new Springfield police station in a bond bill that was passed by the Massachusetts Senate on Thursday.
The House has already passed its version of the bill and included the earmark.
The bond bill would give the project 45-million dollars, which would be matched by the city of Springfield.
The city has been working for years to find a way to get a new police station. The current Pearl Street structure is outdated.
The House m approved the same bond package.
