A recently-set-up homeless camp in Northampton is no more.
Mayor David Narkewicz says public works employees cleared out the camp in a wooded area of city property on Tuesday morning and says it was abandoned.
Narkewicz says the city sent out social workers first to try and help the individuals living there, but that they had already left by the time the workers arrived.
A number of criminal incidents had been reported at the camp, including a reported stabbing in December.
