A Westfield man is being sentenced to a little over three-and-a-half years in jail for causing the drug overdose of a teenage girl.
Seth Lombard-Hawthorne received the sentence from a Hampden Superior Court judge on Thursday after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter and drug distribution last month.
It was last February when 16-year-old Westfield High School junior Lilian Anderson was reportedly found dead of an overdose caused by heroin.
Lombard-Hawthorne was not accused of selling the drug, but instead giving it to the girl.
The Westfield man will also be on probation for three years. As part of that Judge Mary Lou Rup told him he would have to go into schools throughout the area and tell students about the dangers of drugs.
