The Massachusetts high school graduation rate is on the rise.
State officials say the statewide graduation rate was over 88 percent in 2017.
That's a full percentage point higher than the rate in the 2016 school year.
The city of Boston saw its graduation rate increase by three tenths of a percentage point, and is currently over 72 percent.
Acting Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education Jeff Wulfson says he hopes the students and teachers are proud of their improvement.
