A close call for a Springfield Police Officer Tuesday night.
A police spokesman says the DA is investigating after a 28 year old Springfield man was shot in the arm after allegedly driving his car at a police officer.
Police were trying to stop the car driven by Luis Suarez on Pendleton Avenue.
When it did not stop, one of the officers fired his weapon at the suspect, striking him in the arm.
Suarez was treated at the hospital and will be arraigned on a variety of charges.
No Springfield Police officers were hurt and the District Attorney's office is investigating.
