Springfield residents are being warned about someone posing as a city Water and Sewer Commission employee.
Complaints have been received about people posing as department workers trying to get into homes.
Residents are reminded commission work is done by appointment and that no employee will show up unannounced unless there's a water or sewer emergency.
Additionally, legitimate commission employees never ask for cash payments while at a customers house.
