GOAL Wants To Insure Students Weren't Bullied

Activists in Greater Springfield are  planning a trip to Washington, DC for an anti-gun violence rally.

Rise  Up Western Massachusetts Indivisible says it's organizing a bus trip to  take 50 people to the nation's capital for the March for Our Lives event  on March 24th.

Similar marches are planned for that day in Springfield  and other Pioneer Valley cities.

Meantime, officials at the Gun Owners Action League are asking parents to send them videos of anti violence rallies this past week.

Executive Director Jim Wallace says that they want to make sure that no one was bullied into participating in the rallies.

Wallace says the video will be kept private unless there is a violation of civil rights.

Meantime, Governor Dan Malloy says the President was on the right track when he proposed increasing the age to buy a gun and going through background checks.

The Governor, a Democrat says that the President has been following the lead of the NRA too much.
