Report: Schools Will Get Slight Bump In Funding

A new report indicates that most  cities and towns would see very small increases in school funding under  Governor Charlie Baker's budget.

The governor's plan raises school aid  by more than two percent overall.

However, 60 percent of towns will  receive less than one percent in new school aid.

The two districts  under state oversight are Southbridge and Holyoke, and each will barely  see an increase under the Baker proposal.
