Inspection Over--Church Gets Clean Bill

There are minor code violations inside an apartment at the South Congregational Church in Springfield  according to city building inspectors.

At the mayor's request they  were granted a housing court warrant yesterday to see if the building is  safe enough to house a woman seeking sanctuary.

Peruvian Gisella  Collazo, the mother of two young American-born children, has been living  in the church for more than a week to avoid deportation.

The church  will have a certain amount of time to address the code violations.
