Sixteen attorneys general, including Massachusetts AG Maura Healey, are seeking to intervene in a lawsuit to protect the Affordable Care Act.
The AG's say the lawsuit, Texas versus U.S., attempts to dismantle the ACA. In the motion to intervene the attorneys general argue the Texas lawsuit jeopardizes health care coverage and funding, particularly for seniors, children, and people with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
Healey says the Affordable Care Act remains the law of the land.
