Jury Verdict: Guilty In Homeless Shelter Stabbing

A guilty verdict is being reached in a  first-degree murder case in Springfield.

A Hampden  Superior Court jury convicted Jose Ramos on Thursday in the death of  Luis Sanchez.

Authorities say Ramos stabbed Sanchez in March of 2016  outside the Friends of the Homeless shelter.

His attorney argued Ramos  was acting in self-defense.

Ramos will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
