Councilor Wants Meeting Between Kids And Gun Maker

Gun violence is a current topic of discussion in Springfield. A town hall meeting hosted by Massachusetts Parents United and the Teens for Action Springfield group was held in the city's North End.

Springfield  City Council member Jesse Lederman said he is calling on local gun  manufacturer Smith and Wesson to respond to teens' request to meet with  the company's CEO about their concerns about gun violence.

Looking  ahead, the parents of a student who was killed in the Florida school  shooting, Manuel and Patricia Oliver, are being invited to join March  for Our Lives activists on Friday for another community gathering on the  gun violence issue.
