Deadline For Fema Help For Victims Of Hurricane

The pending loss of housing assistance  from FEMA and Red Cross for Puerto Rican families displaced by  Hurricane Maria is forcing them to seek solutions.

Some families who are  staying in hotels in the Pioneer Valley requested help on Thursday at  the Springfield offices of Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren ahead  of the deadlines within the next week.

The two senators did release a  joint statement indicating they are continuing to press FEMA for both  immediate relief and a longer-term solution.
