Longtime New England Patriots radio announcer Gil Santos has died.
He was the legendary and smooth play by play man for the Pats on our sister station WBZ.
Santos called over 700 Patriots games in his career, including the team's first three Super Bowls, and retired after the 2012 season.
He was 80-years-old. Patriots owner Robert Kraft issued a statement saying Santos was and will forever be known as the Voice of the Patriots for generations of fans.
