State police are planning to conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Hampden County later this month.
It will be set up at an undisclosed location from Friday night May 18th into Saturday morning May 19th. Hours will vary and the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary.
The intent of the checkpoint is to strengthen public awareness of the need to get drivers operating under the influence off the roads.
