Worcester Tornado Remembered

It was 65 years ago, at about 4:25 in the afternoon that the Worcester Tornado touched down in Petersham.  

Those who remember say the EF4 tornado went through Holden and several parts of Worcester.

Before it left, finally ending in the Framingham area, it left a 94 people dead and a thousand people hurt.

Historical records show that the storm packed winds of more than 250 miles per hour at one point.

So intense was the storm that parts of The Cape got part of the debris.Officials say times were different then. 

There was no real warning of the tornado until after it roard through the area.

More than 50 million dollars in damage was reported.
