The two Democrats seeking the party nomination for Connecticut governor have squared off in their first debate.
Democratic party-endorsed Ned Lamont and petitioning candidate Joe Ganim traded barbs during the debate in New Haven.
Lamont called for Ganim to finish out his four year term as Bridgeport mayor instead of seeking higher office.
Ganim challenged Lamont on his lack of experience, and accused him of causing the layoffs of 70 percent of the workforce at one of the divisions of his former cable company.
