Legendary Boston Red Sox commentator Jerry Remy is once again dealing with difficult medical news.
The Red Sox have announced he's been diagnosed with cancer. The specific nature of Remy's health problem hasn't been revealed.
The New England Sports Network, which broadcasts the Sox, says Remy will be away from his job to undergo treatment.
He has called more than 3-thousand games for the team over the last three decades.
Manager Alex Cora says "God is in control and that Remy will be back sooner than later."
Until Remy returns to the booth, Steve Lyons will fill in.
