School shooting survivor and activist David Hogg is joining an upcoming gun control march from Worcester to Springfield.
Organizers say Hogg, a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and Manuel Oliver, the father of deceased student Joaquin Oliver, will participate in the 50-mile march on August 22nd which will conclude with a rally at the Smith and Wesson gun manufacturing plant.
The march is being organized by several groups, including March For Our Lives Boston.
The group has been seeking a meeting with the Smith and Wesson President to talk about ways to make guns safer.
So far there is no indication that a meeting will be scheduled.
