A new police brutality lawsuit is being brought on against the Springfield Police Department.
A West Springfield teenager who filed the federal suit on Tuesday was one of three who allegedly stole an unmarked police vehicle in 2016.
The suit claims the boy was brought to the ground and repeatedly bitten by a police dog, and was assaulted by officer Gregg Bigda and detective Steven Vigneault.
Bigda was later recorded on video threatening the two other juveniles who were involved in the incident.
Vigneault resigned over the incident, while Bigda was suspended.
City Officials have not commented.
