Springfield City Councilors tonight may consider a measure which would allow the city's American Hockey League Team, the Thunderbirds to create a logo in the middle of Main Street right at Boland Way near the hotels.
Those hotels often house visiting players.
The team looking for the same type of situation that the Basketball Hall Of Fame has a few feet away right at the civic arena.
However, City Councilor Michael Fenton is wondering aloud whether it is too much to have to deal with.
Fenton says we already have bike lanes marked, pedestrian walkways and the like and a logo in the middle of all of it may be distracting or confusing to the driver.
The city council will have to decide the issue.
