Neal Says Bar Is High On New Trade Agreement

Congressman Richard Neal is weighing  in on a new trade deal between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The new  deal overhauls NAFTA and is headed to Congress for approval.

Neal, the  ranking member on the House Ways and Means Committee, says he welcomes  the announcement by the Trump administration that the deal now includes  Canada, but says there will need to be an assessment on whether the  agreement makes real improvements to the terms of the existing trade  agreement or former President Obama's Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Neal was not a supporter of the original NAFTA Agreement.
