Concerns about possible environmental problems at the State Street courthouse in Springfield are being shared.
The Springfield Republican reports a memo was sent by State Trial Court officials last week to all courthouse employees from state court system officials about non-specific concerns, but says air, water and surface tests will all be conducted.
Longtime District Court Judge William Boyle, who recently retired, and his late predecessor, Robert Kumor, were both diagnosed with ALS disease; doctors reportedly told Boyle the chances of both of them coming down with ALS was highly unlikely.
