The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts is throwing out some drug cases after a former state drug lab chemist was found to be high at work.
This will be the second round of cases that have been dismissed. More than 8 thousand cases have already been thrown out.
That means people whose convictions were based on evidence worked on at the Amherst lab get their cases dismissed.
This follows thousands of cases that have already been thrown out due to lab worker Sonja Farak.
She was found to have been working high from 2009 to 2013, and plead guilty in 2014 to stealing cocaine from the lab.
