West Side Man May Be Connected To Bulger Death

The investigation is continuing into the death of James "Whitey" Bulger.  Bulger was found dead in the West Virginia federal prison that he was just transferred to.

Now the Boston Globe is reporting that two men, allegedly beat Bulger to death this week and one of the men with ties to the death may be Freddie Geas.  He is the West Springfield man who is serving life in prison for the murder of Al Bruno in the South End of Springfield as the alleged Springfield Crime Boss was just leaving his usual Sunday night card game.

Federal Prosecutors are not commenting on The Globe Story.  Neither is Bulger Attorney JW Carney.

Eighty-nine-year-old Bulger  was serving a life sentence after being convicted in 2013 for his role  in 11 murders, conspiracy and racketeering.  He was captured in 2011  living under an assumed name in Santa Monica, California, after 16 years  in hiding.
