Target is going to pay three-million-dollars to resolve allegations that it improperly billed and received payments from MassHealth, the state's Medicaid program.
The company was accused of operating an unauthorized automatic prescription refill program at its Massachusetts locations from August of 2009 through July of 2015.
Attorney General Maura Healey says unauthorized automatic refills can result in inappropriate prescription drug use and wastes taxpayer dollars.
No word from officials on what the money will be used for.
