Thousands of firefighters from throughout New England and around the country have paid their final respects and mourned the loss of a brother firefighter.
Christopher Roy died from injuries sustained while fighting a five alarm fire on Lowell Street in Worcester last Sunday.
"Christopher Roy is at peace after a Sunday of deception and treachery," said Father Walter Reilly, one of the celebrants of the mass.
Governor Baker told reporters before services that this has been a horrible time for Roy's entire family and those in his extended family in the fire service.
