A Pittsfield man was arrested for breaking into a woman's apartment in North Adams and beginning the process of cleaning it.
The Berkshire Eagle reports Mitchell Sayers was arrested at gunpoint after officers initially were informed the suspect had a knife, which was later reported as an error in communication.
Reports indicate Sayers allegedly entered the home, took off his shoes, and emptied a cat litter box, and was in a confused state.
He was arraigned in court on charges of breaking and entering and disturbing the peace and is due for a pre-trial hearing next month.
