Ned Lamont is officially Connecticut's 89th governor, taking the oath of office yesterday afternoon at the State Armory in Hartford.
Lamont then participated in the inaugural parade to the State Capitol, where he delivered the State of the State address to lawmakers.
He says this is a new day, and is urging all residents to believe in the state.
The governor says now is the time for Connecticut to return to its entrepreneurial roots, and it starts with the best educated workforce.
Lamont said his first task is get a budget to the legislature which is real and not full of funny math.
