The coldest weather of the year so far in Western Massachusetts is continuing this morning.
The National Weather Service says the Pioneer Valley will see wind chills as low as 25 degrees below zero.
West of the valley it'll feel like it's down to 30 below, and in the Berkshires, this morning will start off with wind chills as cold as 40 below zero.
Homeless shelters throughout western Massachusetts were packed last night.
Officials say they will not turn anyone away who needs to get out of the cold.
