Springfield officials have had enough.
They are reacting to a federal jury's 250-thousand-dollar award in a police brutality case.
A Boston jury awarded the money to Lee Hutchins of Springfield, who sued three officers alleging excessive force was used against him in his home in January of 2013.
City Council member Orlando Ramos tells Western Mass News it's "especially troubling" the jury's finding that the city has a custom of failing to discipline officers and saying he wants answers regarding the action the police department has taken to address the issue.
He has scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting on the topic for next Monday.
