Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno has pulled the city out of contract talks with the Police Supervisors Union.
The Mayor says that in the name of respect toward the taxpayer and the financial sustainability of the city he is suspending contract talks.
It is unclear what that means since it was thought that a state arbitrator was going to try to broker a deal between the two sides.
