Storm Drops 2 To 5 Inches Across The Region

A Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service is in effect for Western Massachusetts until 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Meteorologists say Hampden County is expected to get three to six inches of snow, while in Hampshire and Franklin counties, the total is expected to be two to five. In the Berkshires, the call is for mixed precipitation.

Since this is the President's Day holiday, travel volumes are down all across the board.

There is no government business today, nor is there bank or school activity today.

The winter weather advisory is in effect and that means that there are parking bans in effect in Agawam, Amherst, Chicopee, Holyoke, Southwick, Springfield and Monson, West Springfield and Westfield.
