Home Sales Down Across The State But Prices Up Again

The housing market in Massachusetts is down year over year for the first time in awhile.

The state Association of Realtors says closed sales for single-family homes and condominiums dropped nearly 12-percent year-over-year from January of last year.

The month also saw the lowest number of single-family homes for sale in January since data reporting started in 2004.

There was also a three-percent increase in the median price for single-family homes and condos compared to last year.
