Democrats and President Trump are agreeing on the need to spend two-trillion dollars for infrastructure.
Trump hosted a meeting with top Democrats today.
Outside the White House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called it a very productive meeting.
She said there was general agreement on the need to go "big and bold" on renovating highways, bridges, airports, rails and a host of other projects.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer called the meeting very constructive.
This is a problematic reality for every single state and congressional district in the nation. I'm optimistic that we have decided on a number and look forward to continuing this very important discussion,” said Chairman Richard E. Neal.
Although both sides say that the infrastructure program will be massive, there has been no indication as how they will pay for it.
