Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says the IRS will not release President Trump's tax returns to the Democratic chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
Chairman Richard Neal, who represents Massachusetts, ordered the IRS to hand over six years of Trump's personal tax returns, as well as tax returns from his business interests.
In a letter to Chairman Neal, Mnuchin said the request doesn't have any legitimate legislative purpose.
Neal says that he is conferring with legal experts to decide what his next move is going to be,
