A Cape Cod doctor is being elected as the new president of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
Maryanne Bombaugh is an OB-GYN at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod and a Falmouth resident.
The election is for a one-year term.
The doctor has ties to western Mass.
She is a graduate of both Smith College and The University of Massachusetts.
