City Council Considers Rehab Monies For Historic Structure

Springfield City Councilors are expected to debate a measure which would have the city use unspent money from other construction projects for Springfield Symphony Hall.

The city owns the historic structure and has spent some money to keep it updated. But now officials say major money will need to be spent on among other things a new sound system.

Some officials have questioned whether the left over funding should be used for the project or returned to the taxpayers.

At issue is some one point five million dollars that is needed for the facility.
