Coalition Of Lawmakers Want Transgendereds To Serve

Two state senators from opposite ends of the state are leading the way, writing to the Governor asking him to reject The President’s ban on transgendered people from openly serving in the military.

Senators Eric Lesser and Julian Cyr and 63 other lawmakers are telling the Governor that anyone who is qualified should have the ability to serve.

If the Governor signs off on the measure than Massachusetts would be the seventh state in the union to reaffirm the right of transgendered people to serve.

No comment from the Governor yet.
