City Council Delays Recreational Pot Proposal

There is no vote yet from the Springfield City Council on several adult-use marijuana store host community agreements.

After a delay on Tuesday, City Council President Justin Hurst says it makes sense for the four agreements reached between the companies looking to run the stores and Mayor Domenic Sarno to be reviewed in committee.

Hurst says he expects a vote when the agreements go on the agenda for the next regular council meeting on September 16th.

The companies are all between six months and a year from being operational.
