A 35-year-old Enfield man is in custody on charges accusing him of killing his elderly grandmother.
Police yesterday arrested Anthony Ward, two weeks after the killing of 79-year-old Frances Battagler in her Second Avenue home.
Ward spent the last two weeks in the hospital after crashing the victim's car in Wethersfield the day after the killing.
Ward is charged with murder, and is being held on one-million-dollars bond.
