Governor Charlie Baker was in Western Massachusetts on Thursday.
Baker toured an ongoing apartment project in Springfield's Mason Square and was also in the city to announce an award for the Complete Streets Funding program at Breckwood Boulevard and Wilbraham Road.
Baker was in Holyoke for a groundbreaking at the Holyoke Farms apartment project. Baker's schedule also included visiting a culvert project in Southwick.
While in Springfield, the Governor told reporters that he is against a legislative effort to give illegal immigrants a drivers license.
Lawmakers are expected to vote on the measure by the end of the year.
