Springfield Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Birthday Party Shooting

Terrance Montgomery was sentenced to life in prison after a Hampden County Superior Court Jury found him guilty of second degree murder in connection with a May 2018 shooting on Margerie Street.

The shooting death happened outside of a birthday party for a three year old.

When police arrived officers discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound who was located in the backyard; the victim was later identified as Mr. Paul Finegan, 23, of Springfield.

After the sentencing Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni told reporters, “The Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit put together a great investigation, which led to the arrest and now successful prosecution."
