State Lawmakers Make Case For Bus Cameras

There is a move on Beacon Hill to install cameras on your child's school bus.

It is a bill that has come up throughout the years but has never made it to the Governor's desk.

This year may be different.

State Lawmakers hearing from parents and bus drivers about the increasing number of drivers who are passing a stopped bus with its flashing lights on.

Sixteen states have similar bills.

Parents say it is getting more and more dangerous to send their kids to school and the cameras will help nab drivers who aren't paying attention and putting their kids' lives at risk.

The Governor hasn't commented on the measure yet.
