Family Say Tauton Man Is Fourth Triple E Victim

It appears that eastern equine encephalitis is claiming the life of another Massachusetts resident.

The family of Scott Mosman of Taunton says he passed away last Friday in hospice care after being diagnosed with Triple E over a month ago.

If confirmed by the state, the 58-year-old Mosman will be the fourth person to die after being infected with the mosquito borne virus this year.

The other victims are two men in their 70s from Freetown and Hampden County and a woman in her 50s from Fairhaven.

State Officials have not commented.
