The trial begins today for a Webster man charged with manslaughter for a 2016 MassPike crash that killed a state trooper.
David Njuguna is also charged with negligent motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of marijuana and other offenses.
Prosecutors say Njuguna was driving over 80 miles per hour when his car struck the rear of a State Police cruiser stopped along the MassPike in Charlton.
Trooper Thomas Clardy died in the crash.
