Springfield Made MBTA Cars Under Review

The MBTA has pulled its new Orange Line trains from service, the T announced on Tuesday. Officials say engineers noticed an uncommon noise coming from underneath the cars, and that the issue needs to be investigated.

This is the second time in a couple of months, actually, that the new Orange Line cars, manufactured by CRRC in Springfield have been pulled.

The first time was because of a glitch that caused the doors to unexpectedly open while the trains were in motion.
