The final effort by Michelle Carter to appeal her involuntary manslaughter conviction has been rejected.
The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday denied Carter's request to hear the appeal of her case.
The Plainville woman was convicted for repeatedly urging her boyfriend Conrad Roy to take his own life, which he eventually did in 2014.
Carter is scheduled to be released January 23rd from the Bristol County Jail, where she is serving her 15-month sentence.
