Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno says an agreement for an apartment project in Court Square is expected to be announced soon.
The city says MGM Springfield, per its host agreement obligation, will develop and construct 60 market-rate upscale apartments, 14 workforce apartments and about twelve-thousand square feet of first-floor retail at property on Elm Street.
The city says the redevelopment is expected to be conducted in a manner to preserve the historic and aesthetic elements of the property.
